Just played on Radio 6.
Age of Love by Age of Love.
Great memories dancing to this on many nights in my friend's at-the-time party central flat.
This is the track that will animate me in old age
Loved the mix* on the first Trance Nation album. In fact that whole CD is the pinnacle of uplifting trance as far as I am concerned.
*(watch out for the stella club mix)
Edit - for me it has to be Endless Wave by the Kamaya Painters (Albion Mix) that gives me those goose bumps
From a similar year youtube.com/watch?v=gGZJ7jvb44s&
if we’re allowed to suggest prog house then youtube.com/watch?v=2tO7Nlew2Dc&
And the breakdown on Bedrock’s “Set in Stone” as probably the best ‘hands in the air euphoric club moment’.
No no no. It has to be Gatecrasher Wet or Gatecrasher Red!
I was sadly not quite raving age at the time of proper trance, but thanks to my brother it provided the soundtrack to my early teens and has stuck with me ever since.
Great trance can be mesmerising this is worth 11 minutes of anyone's time. Go "reach for the lasers"

Silence - Delirium (Sanctuary Mix)
Absolute anthem back in the day
Gatecrasher - awesome compilations

Aceperience by Hardfloor.
Maybe my all time favourite, Li Kwan with Point Zero youtube.com/watch?v=JWIXkF_7JII&
That is giving me flashbacks!! My heart beat rate has increased and I want to dance!
Getting rushes? Get up and dance, nothing stopping you...
Reactivate 10 - the whole album/mix whatever you want to call it, fricking awesome. So many memories with that one.
Other highlights
Jupiter Calisto Mix from Trancelucent 2000, had this going through my head up Arch Slab (VS 4c) still one of my best climbing memories! Sadly youtubes doesn't give a link.
But my all time favourite? Jan Johnston Flesh, Dj Tiesto remix youtube.com/watch?v=Z8zyU0exmjg& (video also includes fighter jets!) HAVE IT!
Oh yes, Reactivate 10. The first trance CD I ever bought, and still one of my favorites.
This bit of Goa Trance lifts me up each time...
> Aceperience by Hardfloor.
Actually called acperience 1 and its a cracker

Stephan Bodzin is a god:

More acid techno than trance but still awesome.
Reactivate 10 was also my first mix CD and it's still great.
If you like it hard then this is just amazing (as are most of the hard trance mixes he's done) http://sonicrampage.org/blog/2016/12/pearsalls-tribute-to-escape-from-samsa...
Too many great ones.
Moonman mix of The Orange Theme
Vincent De Moor - Flowtation
Astral Projection - Mahadeva
Slacker vocal mix of Someone by Ascension
Another vote for Li Kwan - Point Zero
I used to be good mates with Tim Shickle (Tim Samsara - he ran Escape From Samsara) many years ago. Lost touch, think he became a tree surgeon
I never went but wish I had. Didn't live in London so the only night I went to at all regularly was one i used to play at down the other end of Coldharbour Lane
That's a brilliant track but does it fit the OP?
awww man. Escape from Samsara was my late teenage home.
Thanks for this thread. Trance seems to have died these days (or I am just the wrong side of 40 )
Come on guys. We've all seen the real thing...

Great thread. It’s always entertaining to hear a load of 40-something’s procrastinate about Trance music!
For me, Paul Oakenfolds Goa Mix album was the zenith...still listen to it 20 years later. My favourite track being The Man With No Name, mixed with extracts from the Bladerunner soundtrack! Classic!

FTFY
Dog Star? Club 414? ISObar?
I'm enjoying EML Ritual massively on the new O2 ad.

Children, Robert Miles (dream version) Legendry!
love the sunday trance vibe on this thread!!
Does Jon Hopkins' stuff qualify as trance?
Bit further along, almost at Loughborough Junction. Arch 266. Monthly hard house and techno night. Quite small but great atmosphere.
This sums up my memories of it

No but I like his stuff. 'Collider' is a classic.
I'm pretty sure I went to that a couple of times.
I must have seen a few of you at Escape from Samsara, I went to nearly every one. Friday night at the Fridge, the highlight of the week. Who else went to Return to the Source?
Something like this;

Was reading through the comments on Youtube:
daryl rose 9 months ago
this is not my channel but would like to thank everyone for thier lovely comments. my father Andrew/Andy Rose was the singer for salt tank. he sadly passed away in 2012. but I am glad that his music has been able to have such an impact on your lives. he would be so impressed to have known he has so many fans. you have all brightened up a sad day for me and I am very greatful for the Internet/youtube and to all the people that have made it possible for me to listen to my dad everyday
Cool. Will check them all out
iboga records and ultimae records..... too many good ones to name!
Loads of good memories of this track. It was psyche up music for the drive up from Aviemore to Coire Cas-
Brilliant thread, I wondered if you guys were out there! Anyone else finding it hard to reconcile the idea that some late 1998 clubbers became 2018 climbers?
