I just listened to most of this on Spotify (the playlist was there this morning).

I think I skipped about 3-4 tracks - the rest were quite good. I was also surprised how many of them I knew (unlike when listening to John Peel's Festive 50 back in the day).

Not my kettle of fish but it is drawing me in! It's also on Deezer. Funny how already a decade's worth of tunes can be enjoyed retrospectively.

Good list.  I like the ones I know and I‘ll give the rest a try.

Sadly, I’ve been about 10 years behind musically most of my life.  On the plus side, I’ve only ever been about 10 years behind however old I became!

That was part of the appeal of the festive 50. Though it was quite predictable in the seventies and early eighties.

The NME list looks pretty good - I’ll give it a listen.

Nah - give me a Peel festive fifty over that NME list any day.
