For me the original is miles ahead, I prefer the violin sound of David Cross for starters then there is the very distinctive voice of Wetton which gives real passion to the mood and Fripp is on fire throughout to make a lavish, tight, all round more flowing and immediate sound. Bruford is just Bruford, now they need three drummers to replace him although it would have been better if the Scots genius Jamie Muir was still playing with them then.
