I thought Zero Dark Thirty was outstanding. Genuinely awesome.
Also watched 7 Psychopaths- decent film with a great cast but a bit odd.
Argo is another that deserves its hype- I thought it was great!
Lastly, Killing Them Softly is well worth a punt too!

I thought Contraband was quite good too , you can't beat a bit of smuggling for bit of an electric atmosphere I say .

You are joking right? It is a total turkey! They even used the same rooftops as one of the chases in Skyfall, only skyfall was good, taken was shit

Never realised that Skyfall was out on DVD. That's in Number 1 slot for tonight.

Still not sure if I want to see the Americans saving the world again.

You serious?

Even the leading actors, minus Nealson, said it was crap.

In reply to crustypunkuk:

7 Psychopaths is in Number 2 slot.

Nope.

My mate has a copy but, it comes with "For your convenience" popping up every now and then.

Head good things though.

How's Town this evening?

This little lemming is on sick leave.

It's not.

Ignoring a couple of basic errors, 'a lonely place to die' wasn't bad for a 'climbing film' with some nice flyovers of Glencoe. The dvd extras were the best i've ever seen and was more like and alpine climbing docu than mere extras

Yes sorry Mr Lemming my mistake I blagged a reviewers copy of a friend a while ago , wrongly assumed it was released already apologies Sir .
OP The Lemming 08 Feb 2013
In reply to LaMentalist:

No worries.

Mr Jaybob seems to have got a copy though but speeds are awful.

tis very quiet as it usually is this time of year, just had a look at the cctv and just 3 people on the concourse, lets hope it stays like that
I had the same screener download but it didn't detract and even mrs b enjoyed it. If you have internet streamed to the telly there are some good music progs on bbc 3 ATM, they are doing a season of 'Story of the album' shows. Utopia on E4 is worth catching up with too <4OD>. Enjoys your telly time, I've been stuck either at work or fitting a bathroom for the past 10 days and seen much telly at all

Do you know how I can convert WMV to MP3?

I've recorded some Gloria Estofan on Radio 2 and want to listen to the Latin flavoured show while walking the dog. As yet I have not found anything free that does a good job.

Unusually I used iPlayer for the first time in ages two nights ago to watch Brian Cox entertains the Stars. Excellent show which blew my fuzzy little brain.

You think? After watching the extras I really liked what they'd done with such a small budget
 wilkie14c 08 Feb 2013
In reply to The Lemming:
mmm no sorry but I bet someone will. Can you not get that show as a podcast maybe?
OP The Lemming 08 Feb 2013
In reply to Southern Man:

I think that it was at that exact same spot that I sh1t myself one year.

Got cold wet and sweaty palms looking at that image now.

never tried. And more importantly, how would I go about doing that?

cheers

In reply to The Lemming: I'm not a huge podcast user myself but when I'm away climbing I'll grab a few of itunes to listen to on walk-ins. They download and sync to my ipod automatically. Can the WMV file be burned as a normal music cd? If it can then burn it as such and then rip it as mp3, bit arse over tit but it would solve the headache

Not watching as it may spoil my enjoyment.

And, it may be different to the Skyfall I saw at the cinema last year.
In reply to The Lemming: shame, you will miss the gay scene

Well it certainly promised more than it delivered, put it that way!

Mt Jaybob and his dvdrip of Mr Bond was A10/V10

And excellent it was too.

Argo is a good film. Not sure if it's action / adventure but the last section is really edge of the seat stuff.

If only I had seen this thread
I would have recommended Dredd.
