Off to Narvik in April Ski touring and was wondering about self catering accommodation. Anybody have any links?

Preferably out side of Narvik in the mountains/fjords

Many thanks

Check out the DNT and Skiforeningen websites as both organisations have numerous huts. Worth joining. I use both apps, which show the huts and routes. The Skiforeningen app also shows which tracks have been prepared and how long ago, in case you'll be doing any langrenn cross country

In case you didn't know... Narvik is on a mountain by the fjord.

That said, there are quite a few B&B options, but perhaps not that many online. And you will need a car.

Generally I have stayed in a tent on the beach close to the old bridge ( a tad inland from Narvik). Which is just fine in good weather. And then searched for indoor accommodation if the weather turns nasty... or bailed to Riksgränsen, Abisko, Tamok, Troms or Lyngen.

A few "big" options are http://www.katterjokk.se/ (in Riksgränsen, more akin to a hostel with room kitchen). And https://lapphaugen.no (close to Spansdal, if the ice is good. Cosy and good cabins).

https://narvikcamping.no/ didn't have all that great reputation some odd 10 years ago... Things might have changed though.

That said, nearly all camping grounds have small huts/cabins with self catering possibilities... Some are spendy and manky, others spendy and good.

As it happens I've been looking for a place near Narvik for the exact same reason and just booked one a couple of days ago. AirBNB has most choice, dancenter.no had some and if your Norwegian is up to it finn.no had a couple available. Have you been before?

A few years ago now but we stayed at spor1 youth hostel style accommodation which was a 2 min walk from the bus stop when traveling in from harstad, the driver even got out to point out it to us. Only did one night either end of our trip but it was fine although for our trip convenient to the harbour rather than hills was a priority.
