Hi everyone,

I would like to plan a trip to Arco in Italy over Easter and I am not able to find good information online about some of the logistics.

Just a couple of quick questions:

1) What's the best airport to fly into?

2) Any accomodation recommendations?

3) Any unmissable single pitch sport between 6b and 7c to try?

Thanks a lot!

Airport: ? Innsbruck is 2,5h away but surely there's a better possibility in Italy

2) there are 2 campgrounds in Arco within walking distance of the Colodri ( multipitch) and town centre. Easter though is very busy, so probably best make a reservation.

3) Plenty of good routes to chose from, but as said, Arco is VERY busy during holiday times, so it's worth considering 'quieter' crags, which also tend to be a bit less polished. The new guidebooks (easily available in the many climbing shops in Arco) have good star systems to get you to the best routes suiting your taste.

We flew into Verona but the drive from Innsbruck is pretty easy too. We stayed at the Hotel Portici which was nice - it's in Riva Del Garda at the top of the lake and just a few kilometres from Arco but there are loads of apartments etc in Arco.

I always fly to Bergamo . It's usually a cheap route and only 2hrs from Arco . I've stayed in Hotel Olivo a few times which is nicely located and comfortable . Lot's of climbs .

Thank you all for the suggestions. I see there are regular flights from London to Verona. Can't wait for the pizza and gelato!
