Good afternoon. Barton Quarry was strangely where I had my first outdoor (or at least one of my first) climbing experiences and I’ve driven past it hundreds of times since.

There’s suggestions it’s been climbed on multiple times;

but doesn’t seem there’s any recordings of anything.

If anyone is in contact with Chris Craggs, Nick Dixon or anyone from surrounding climbing/mountaineering clubs that might be able to divulge any information can I kindly ask you to send them this way.

I’ll try upload some photos of the remaining buttresses (I think some older ones no longer exist in a claimable form, though there is some newly exposed rock) to help jog some memories.

In reply to Emilio Bachini:

Anyone else have issues with photos being uploaded and rotated from the original orientation?

In reply to Emilio Bachini:

I think as the threads you link to above suggest, there are never been any routes recorded there, all too short tbh. I guess nowadays someone could list them as boulder problems?
