Hi, heading to the peaks on Friday evening and wondered if anyone could recommend a campsite near burbage? Doesn't need to flash, just somewhere safe to pitch the tent

Cheers

In reply to Boulderdaz: Can't remember what it's called, but if you've got the Eastern Grit guide, there's one mentioned in there that's below Stanage. That'll put you 10 minutes or so from Burbage.

In reply to Boulderdaz: It's North Lees below Stanage. Stayed there last weekend. Fantastic site. £15/night for two adults and a car. Twenty minute walk up to the Plantation boulders to while away the evenings.

It's free to camp at Burbage if you don't get caught...

Could cost you your sleep if you get booted off!

Yikes!

Burbage South quarry is a nice ninja camping spot. Owned by the council I think, so no grumpy wardens.
