Going to Snowdonia for the next couple of days, would appreciate *personal* recommendations of good campsites. Criteria? Fairly central (for Ogwen/Llanberis/Tremadog), flat-ish, civilised but not unduly so, not too raucus but within walking distance of a pub?

In reply to Rob Exile Ward: Drive up the A5 from Betws and take your pick! They are all good. Swallow Falls on the LHS at the top of the dual-carriageway has a campsite & you couldn't be closer to a pub.

Keep going a big further and you have *insert name here* on the RHS up a short hill, which has some cheap bunkhouse accommodation and campsite, right next door to the Bryn Trych Inn.

This place

was recommended on here before. I stayed there for a week in August. Was the only tent there all week. Easy to find a flat bit. It is 9 minutes walk to a good pub according to the lady who owns it we thought closer to 10 minutes.
In reply to Rob Exile Ward: Opposite the Vaynol arms in Nant peris. Basic but cheap and spitting distance to the crags and the pub.
