Howdy all. I'm moving out to Sevilla and while I get that there are places further south (El Chorro etc) I was wondering if anyone could recommend places to climb a bit closer to the city, gyms, walls - basically any knowledge, info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

This might give some pointers

Type Seville in the search here https://climbingaway.fr/en/rock-climbing-areas/find-20-rock-climbing-areas-...

A wacky climbing area is cerro del hierro, an old iron mine close to Sevilla.

Very unusual indeed

There's a friendly local wall, ' Rock& Wall' I think not far from the centre.

Didn't get to the crag as a family holiday. First thing to buy is ' Donde Escalar en Espagne' Ed.3 published by Desnival.

Will give you info on all the crags in Spain.

Bloody hot in summer!

Another vote for this area. Surprisingly enjoyable in a surreal setting. Also good for choice of sun or shade.
