I may be spending some time in UAE in general and Abu Dhabi specifically for work. Can anyone comment on the indoor walls situation, outdoor climbing possibilities and how best to meet other climbers out there?

AD seems to have “The Clymb” indoor wall, appears to have leading (?) and maybe bouldering (?) but very hard to tell if it is a serious climbing wall or just for tourists - no photos of either of the above - and would love if anyone has any experience of this in particular as suspect that’d be my weeknight option.

I worked out in the UAE a couple of years ago and found the climbing scene to be up and coming. There’s various Facebook groups which are fairly active for partners etc such as “climbing in UAE”. Here is a link to a Google drive I put together of every pdf guide to the climbing I came across. Feel free to download any you like. The Stardust one is probably out of date now as development there was still ongoing. Enjoy!
