Started packing for a week of, hopefully, sun rock. Based at the Orange House.

Any tips for things to do or rake before we head out ?

Or brilliant, not too hard, routes, trad or bolted, that we should look out for ? Planning ona days hiking/trail running whilst there. Suggested routes ?

My partner and I did a few walks out of Charles Davis "Walk! the Costa Blanca" and particularly enjoyed walk 20 "Tour of Raco Roig". The start of this walk is almost directly beneath a crag that had a team of climbers on, which I think may be Bolulla in the RockFax guide, so you could do your 7.4K walk/run and then climb....that would be a great day out (for me at least!)

The long (12+pitches) easy (mild VS? HS?) Espelon Central on Puig Campana is a must, if you like mountain routes. Helmets and a rack are needed in addition to the normal sport-climbing stuff. I think a single rope is fine, though not 100% sure. Start early.

In reply to sarahkeast: A walk / run up Olta (behind Calpe) is really nice, great views and straightforward paths to follow.

The Bernia ridge if you like scrambling. It's fantastic. You'll need a rope & 10 quickdraws for it, a couple of abs on there too.

Climbing: Sonjannika on the Moraira sea cliffs is amazing. Straightforward walking approach.

If your good enough try and get on Tai Chi (6b+) one of the best climbs I've ever done and the picture you get is fantastic. Also Gandia is a great little crag and although there is some steep stuff, there is plenty of mid grade stuff to have a go at too.
