Hi can anyone recommend a good campsite near Cortina?

International Camping Olympia to the north of Cortina on the bank of the rive, it is very friendly with clean amenities, an onsite shop, bar and occasionally restaurant.  They seem to mostly cater towards campervans so choose your pitch carefully to avoid the really hard ground if you're not using a free standing tent.

It is a little bit on the expensive side, but have been back a couple of years in a row and would return again!

Nearer town than the one mentioned above, which is indeed a nice spot, are 3 campsites; Rocchetta, Cortina and Dolomiti. Not stayed at Rocchetta (nearest to the town) but stayed once or twice across the road at Camping Cortina. It's pretty crowded in the Summer but in a good way - lots of Italian 3 generation families there for the Summer and having a great time in their cabins - nice atmosphere. Dolomiti is a bit further from town but is my favourite.  As you can see there's lots of choice. Envious of your trip - not going to get there this year.

Camping Rochetta is good, stayed there a couple of times, pretty basic but clean, always bypassed Camping Cortina as it looked like bedlam !

Thanks Martin, we’ve been checking out cheap accommodation at campsites too as we are doing a fly/drive trip. It’s good to know what others think when it’s your first trip there! Excited!

Another vote for Camping Olympia, we had a really nice stay there. 

Camping Dolomiti just down river from Cortina. Only complaint is the lack of water in their swimming pool.
