In reply to John Postlethwaite: Crete in general is really underdeveloped and so hunting down venues can proove quite entertaining. We initially spent 3 days trying to find a guy who worked in an antique shop for data on local climbing on the southwest of the Island. We found some amazing stuff, none of it logged or even graded, brand new bolts and chains, with very little traffic. They tend to climb in clubs over there, it sounds strange to us but it is a big BBQ and camping and whole family occasion thing going on, quite cute really. Where are you going?
