Planning the above route tomorrow solo.  it says 30m ab and ive read the trip reports and one guy says his 60 only just made it but i find no other info on the steepness/ severity of the ab and if i can 'safely' rig a new one.

Ive a 80m sport rope or a 50m half rope. I really cant be bummed lugging the 80m plus it will be unbalancing. any info greatfully received .....although late notice of post acknowledged! 

From what I remember the longest abseil is 30m with no intermediate anchors. Not sure if there’s a way of avoiding that ab though, sorry can’t be more specific 

Thanks mark. A 60m rope is definatley preferable as per guidebook. It isn't an ab that is hanging or steep in anyway and i managed fine with 50m but lost about 30mins farting about and thats as a solo.  Will put details in a trip report.
