Planning on a family holiday to Iceland in February, staying in the Hvalfjorour area. Anyone know the area and know of low grade winter routes worth doing solo. I'll have a car so also able to travel if necessary.

A lot will depend on weather, which can be far less predictable than some people think. Have you tried searching UKC? There's been quite a few discussions in recent years that contain useful info, including helpful links to Icelandic climbing websites. There's some avalanche forecasting on the IMO website but as with a lot of Icelandic stuff, it's important to use your own informed judgement.
