I'm not sure if anyone else has been following the situation in Kalymnos - like the rest of Greece they did very well for a long time, but then they had quite a bad outbreak and consequently a longish lockdown. They were released from lockdown on Monday morning, but there were 32 new cases yesterday and 50 today. Therefore a new lockdown started today - 18:00 > 06:00 curfew, stay home, shops shut, no travel and no outsiders allowed on the island for a week initially, though that will probably be extended.

I have seen people asking about travelling there but it looks like now isn't the time.

Hope this info helps,

Chris

I just checked the 'longish lockdown' was six long months!

That's bad news for everyone there. The Greek Government was planning to prioritise vaccination on a host of small islands. Do you know if Kaly was included?

I believe it was included along with all the other islands, but a friend there says that they aren’t getting the first jab until June, so a way to go still really,

Chris
