Folks, I’m considering going to Kalymnos next year from mid March.

I see from various logbooks that people do climb there that early in the year.

However I would appreciate any first hand experience on how warm and how wet it might be, and whether restaurants will be open.

Thanks

Weather starts to improve from mid March - warmer, drier. Some risk of rain but it’s cool enough to climb all day. Can be t shirt weather but take a hat and an extra jumper. Usually. Some restaurants open all year.

I've never been then, but I think friends have found some of the tufas can still be wet at Easter? I think - half memory. If so, it may depend what you want to climb.

March is often perfect, particularly as the month wears on. Some tufas may drip but most rock will be dry. Not all restaurants will be open, but enough. Like November it's lovely because you won't have to queue.

I was looking at doing the same thing,if you don’t mind the ball ache of getting there.theres no direct flights to kos till April. Have to fly to Athens, then to kos and get the ferry or either a smaller expensive plane to kalymnos
