Have a 1 dayer to go climbing. Can you recommend my a venue. Roadside/ easy access/prefer sport as with my wife and flying so limited equipment. Mostly based around the Mourne mts area/Newcastle for the Mourne Highline fell race but may visit giants causeway and sightseeing fairhead. Looks mostly trad everywhere. probs got a car.

Altnadue Quarry is the only sport in the area I think. Not actually been so can't comment on the quality

Some good bouldering about though - Boulderworld in Belfast rent pads if that's an option for you

Thanks for the feedback, Niall..I may try this. There seems plenty of granite in the mourne mts for bouldering/cragging. I'm not a great boulderer, probs f6's max atmo and would prefer micro routes/short highballs. Anything you know without a huge walk in.
