If you go, it's really worth buying the Ulassai guidebook http://www.climbingulassai.com/online-guidebook as there's a huge amount of routes around Ulassai, particuarly in the canton, that aren't in the main Sardinia guide.
Also if you use the main guide to find Punta Pilloca be careful, it's nowhere near where the guide describes and it's easy to follow a whole heap of wrong roads!
