I've been looking for a while now, I may have been looking in the wrong places or just been blind to it but are there any good sport climbing areas in the North West? Particularly for beginners.
In reply to radiofreak: Clwyd limestone around Llangollen is pretty good.

Yeah, Trevor Rocks near Llangollen, there's a fair bit in North Wales (between Rhyl and Llandudno) covered in the A55 guide, Frogsmouth in Runcorn is another option - not sure what grades there are there though, and that's about all I can think of.

Not sure what these crags are like as I've never been, but just thought I'd take some time to look through the logbooks for my own curiosity. The grades aren't particularly low either, if that's what you're looking for in terms of beginner sport crags: http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=471
