Trowbarrow

Hi, A few questions about Trowbarrow. I've not been for 25 years! So any answers much appreciated, thanks:

How popular is it these days? And how polished? Will it be rammed on Bank Holiday Monday? Are dogs allowed?

Cheers Christy

It never gets really busy and its not particularly polished, certainly by limestone standards. Dogs very welcome.

Some routes are quite shiny. The classic VS Coral Sea is one, but the abundance of gear makes it feel not too bad. There's also a fairly crucial foothold on Assegai which is very difficult to make use of.

Yes a lot of people have stood on it over the years and dithered!

Also a few polished foot placements on Jean Jeanie too. Probably wouldn't be a problem if I learnt to crack climb properly...

A few teams there today, children, dogs and some strange aiding on jean Jeanie?! Hot and sweaty all round, midges and horse flies at red wall.
