I thought we’d settled this.

It’s ‘Peak’ not ‘Peaks’...

He summitted Everest and Lhotse in a single push? Has that ever been done before?

Kenton Cool climbed Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest in a single push in 2013.

O2 or no O2, that's some impressive fitness.

An impressive achievement particularly given the rescues carried out on route; although I hear he hasn't done much on grit...

It's interesting (but unsurprising given his Gurkha / SBS background) that his approach is military (what's the easiest way I can achieve this objective and be back for tea and medals) rather than that of the ethically pure unsupported alpinist.  Hope he gets the sponsorship to have a crack at the rest of his objectives this year!

Annoying Twit 28 May 2019

Some years ago I asked if it will ever be possible for someone to summit all 8000 metre peaks in one year. Six in a month would mean that to get all 14, the climbing season would be long. I don't know if he's on track to get all of them this year, but it certainly would be a fantastic achievement to do it. History could be being made. https://gearjunkie.com/nepali-mountaineer-nirmal-nims-purja-8000-meter-proj...

Main website here: https://projectpossible.co.uk His plan is to climb all 14 in 7 months. I don't know if he's on track, because this is prime climbing season and things may slow down.
