Hello...

I'm having my annual easy jet vs driving to the alps... Usually I have gone to chamonix bit thinking zermatt this year... Could any of you kind people give me an idea of the price of tolls to get to geneva say??

Thanks in anticipation...

In reply to sleeplessjb:

Tolls are about £100 by the most direct route (1 way)

In reply to sleeplessjb: there's also the cost of the Swiss motorway vignette thingie, assuming you'd need/want to go on motorway between Geneva & Zermatt. Last year it cost 40 francs, so not exactly cheap...

If you're going to Zermatt you wouldn't go via Geneva unless you want to go the long way round.

In reply to sleeplessjb:

Go Calais-Belgium-Luxembourg-Strasbourg-Basel-Lausanne-Zermatt to avoid virtually all tolls (except Swiss Vignette) and fill up with Europe's cheapest fuel in Luxembourg.
