My buddy is pulling out of our planned trip this summer. Anyone interested in taking his spot ???

Iteniary is as follows,

• Days 1 & 2. French Alpine & Training Phase. Ascend to the Glacier Tre La Tete at the head of the Contamines Valley. Mountaineering & Glacier travel training. Move up to the lovely Conscrits Hut to spend the night. After an alpine start and very early breakfast either traverse the Domes de Miage or Mont Tondu and return to the valley / Chamonix for the night
• Days 3 & 4. Italian Alpine Phase. Ascend the Punta Hellbronner lift for further acclimatisation & glacier training. Ascend a short route on a peak near the lift then descend back to Valle d'Aosta and continue to a mountain hut in the Gran Paradiso National Park. Early start next morning for an ascent of the Gran Paradiso. Return to Chamonix.

• Days 5 & 6. Swiss 4000er odyssey. Depending on how legs are faring towards the back end of the week! Move across to the Swiss Alps and climb one or two 4000ers e.g. Allalinhorn, Weissmeis, Lagginhorn. One night in Swiss mountain hut & return to Chamonix on the Friday evening:

None are very technical (Alpine grade 'PD' max). That would be a physically tough but excellent week and there is a lot of potential for flexibillity in that programme.

Guide is £1150 for the week.. so assume around £1500 after accommodation and travel.

We are driving down from London on 23rd August and will be back on the 1st September. Car is split 3 ways on petrol and the ferry is already booked....
