Anyone know an alternative super market to the " harrods " in cortina .

Thanks

In reply to kingjam: there's one called Eurospin about 3 miles down the road. It's on the right but set back from the road on a little industrial estate.
It's a bit like Lidl, but think its closed on Sunday.

Yes- Supermercato Kanguro is on the 1-way system road, before the sharp bends that go up past the big car parks by tourist info. It's easy to miss. A good supermarket and certainly no Harrods...

I actually quite like the "harrods". Makes food shopping in Lidl or Aldi and being diverted by all the gardening gloves, led kitchen lights, cycling tops, packs of post-its (or whatever else is on offer that week) look quite amateurish in comparison.

Where else can you buy toothpaste, tomatoes and quick-draws, all under the same roof?

On a more serious note and in contrast to France, I don't think that Italy on the whole really seems to have got the hang of supermarkets. Maybe that's no bad thing either.

In reply to kingjam: Kanguro, a bit further into Cortina, or Eurospin which is on the RHS as you drive south out of Cortina down a side street. Cheap wine.
