Greenland kit transport from UK

Hi.

Hoping to travel to Greenland, Kangerlussuaq, this summer with a small group. We are having problems with moving kit which includes food rations out there. The problems seem to be with the food, either via ship or plane, going via the EU.

Anyone with any experience or advice?

Thanks Gareth

Go to a customs agent, they know what to do.

Seems to be a problem with finding carriers willing to deal with the delays caused by Brexit.

Could you place an order within the EU and have it delivered directly to Greenland?

In reply to hokkyokusei:

Unfortunately, a lot of food was bought in the UK some time back. Prior to the current shenanigans.

Well yes, a single-category food load is bad enough but a mixed load with part food means roughly double the work and possibly having to partly unload for inspection. I'd buy it in Europe and get it shipped on as well. Save the customs costs both sides as well. A carrier like Fedex will do it all for you as well including the ATR Carnet (the food goes on another system) but probably costs!
