> Myself and a friend are returning to Chamonix after 4 years of training. Has anyone trekked from Les Houches to the Têtte Rouse Hut? If so I’m thinking 2 days tell me if I am wrong. We are carrying minimal bivvy gear to camp near the Tette Rouse Hut.
One year when I was young, fit and acclimatized, I starting walking from Les Houches at about 7am or so, and got to the Gouter Hut (via the Tete Rousse obviously) at about 3pm as I recall. I then stayed there for the evening, set off about 3am or so, got to the summit at about 8am, and then carried on over to the Midi. (That was in October by the way, and I had the entire route more-or-less to myself.)
So it's easily possible if you're going okay.
