In reply to mxg: Been in Nepal since last November and followed this closely from here. Seems that most local government authorities including in the Khumbu area will accept the national tourism Ministry directive and after initial confusion think this will eventually be enforced although at the moment I haven’t head of anyone being stopped or fined at checkpoints. I do expect that to start happening later this year though, my opinion. regards
