Hi,

Currently planning a trip to Denali next year to have a crack at the Upper West Rib.

Have been using Phantom 6000's since last winter and am currently wondering about the need for an overboot. I am hearing conflicting advice on whether they are needed, and I really only want take them if I really have too (don't want to be carrying extra crap around the mountain for obvious reasons).

I will be heading out the last week of May and first three weeks of June, so upper mountain will be in June when its a bit warmer.

Keen to hear from people who have used the boot out there or have actually been there.

Thanks

In reply to steveej: I went out there this year with a set of Phantom 6000's and had a set of over boots for summit day although I did not summit due to bad weather the genral consciences out there seemed to be take a set of overboots temperatures out there can be -40.
