Just listened to Bernadette McDonald speaking with Ed Douglas on the Kendal book festival on her new book Winter 8000 (almost certain to be an excellent read given her past titles)... Three teams with experienced aspirants if they can avoid any covid bans.

I've read it, great book would recommend.

Yes, read a few of her titles, should be a good read. I had the experience of being around Urubko and Moro as they prepared for their G2 ascent in 2011, it's a pretty interesting scene that's changed a lot over the last decade.

In some ways where the leading edge of big peaks is at, still a lot for the future. I'm waiting for 8000m winter north sides to take off.

Does the photo in that link show supplemental oxygen will be used?

John Snorri seem to be the first that arrived, then there's Nepalese group led by Mingma Sherpa, Nirmal Purja anounced that he'll try it as well and Bulgarian expedition led by Atanas Skatov.
