/ Wanted: Titanium pittons
As the link says, does anyone have any or know how I can get hold of some that are reliable?
Traditionally they were purchased from random broke Russian alpinists at various climbers' campsites in the Alps. I bought some in the late 1990s but then sold them on but that sort of source seemed to stop many, many years ago.
They've never really been made commercially, but you might find someone who acquired some but hasn't used them and who's happy to sell them
Why do you need Ti ones as opposed to steel ones?
A lot lighter, if not quite so functional.
I've seen them but I'm looking for angles and blades really. apparently Kathmandu is a good place to find them.
I have some..
Would you either be willing to sell them or be able to direct me to where you came across them please?
