I'm after a windproof softshell and its between the Rab Scimitar and Marmot Super Hero. It has to be one or the other.

The Rab Scimitar looks really good, long arms, long body, stretchy and really easy to move in but I'm not convinced that it's very windproof. The Marmot Super Hero is gore windstopper so I'm pretty confident that it'll do what it says.

Basically will the Scimitar be fully windproof and if it's not is the Marmot's detachable hood shit?

Thanks.

In reply to And Climb: superhero is nice jacket, but like all windstopper can get sweaty.the removable hood is surprisingly well designed.

Marmot driclime is a much better sftshell imho and I believe they now do a hooded version.

Superhero looks better - driclime performs better.
