Entirely legit. Pre-covid would regularly pop in their shop and they are friendly too. Never had issues buying from them online either.

I'd make a banana based pun but I'm just too much of a coward. In fact, I'm a bit yellow.

Ordered from them last month, recommended.

Legit and good service according to those I know that have shoes with them.

I've never bought from them because they seem to stock a very poor range of sizes. Nowt above a large for men or medium for ladies.

As far as professionalism goes - yes, also a real nice bunch of staff.

Corporate side of things is where I’ve noticed they are very shadey and they are constantly guilty of the kind of things Sports Direct get in trouble for.

Their incessant social media adverts show an RRP for a product and a sale price. You can look it up and you will likely find that their sale price is still more expensive than the normal price of almost every other similar retailer, especially on clothes. In fact in the few times I’ve checked I’ve never found any examples of anyone having sold the items they have in their adverts for the RRP.

Retail rules state that a product needs to have been sold at the original price for a meaningful amount of time, and this just Is never the case, also you can usually find the products cheaper elsewhere.

There are plenty of climbing stores out there who don’t indulge in spurious cookie slinging sale-farming I would advise checking some of them out.

Living in Bristol, we are lucky to have 2 great climbing shops, I rarely feel the need to go anywhere else.

Dicks Climbing (aka Rope Access Equipment)- With their vast knowledge and support of climbing in the area. I try to get all trad gear etc from them. They really know about proper climbing gear.  Costs look higher online, but its all negotiable.

Banana Fingers (aka Epic TV Shop) - Also great, good line of clothing and more sport oriented gear. I usually get my shoes here, they have a good range of kit.

In reply to guisboro andy: I've bought plenty of stuff off them via EpicTV and always been happy, so would fully recommend.   I've never seen any funny pricing..

Dickz are also very good,  and worth supporting

In reply to Donotello:

I'd be really surprised if you can find products much cheaper elsewhere. Most of their products are cheaper than go outdoors which tends to be the bottom of the barrel on pricing! The fact they can be more competitive as an independent climbing specialist retailer is pretty impressive.

Also Dicks climbing are brilliant too.

Just a point to note on this - the reason they can offer lower prices is by reducing the trade price they agree with the equipment manufacturers... Some are big, so the reduced profit they see is not that much of an issue, but for the smaller (also independent) ones it's potentially a far bigger impact.
