Not quite as expensive as you think - it seems you actually get both shoes for your two hundred quid.

Also, it's the insulated version, so what other options are there?  I mean it's not as if anyone has ever invented a cheaper way to keep your feet warm inside your shoes.  The ideal would be something easily washable, but I suppose I'm just dreaming now.

I also seem to recall Lowa making something similar, and others in the past (5.10 Ascent also had a winter free climbing version).

I was just being a bit facetious really but that's interesting, thanks for the links.

Speaking as one whose toes freeze whilst climbing indoors at this time of year (partly because of a raynaud's type thing, also perhaps on account of just being nesh), I'm impressed and a little aghast that there are people out there doing stuff that requires these.

Well maybe more reasonable than it appears. Haven't got them in my size though!

It's another world!

Well, we're just dipping a toe in the water, so to speak. But, let us know your size and we'll see what we can do!

Hello, whilst you're "here" I was wondering if you could comment on why UK retailers (including Needlesports) don't supply small sized shoes.  As an example, a quick trawl through your online site suggests that options below size 6/7 are pretty limited.  Even specific womens models only ever seem to go down to size 3/4.  In my experience, you get a way bigger choice in other European countries, even ones with relatively small climbing communities such as Greece and Cyprus, where down to size 2 is pretty common (even size 1 in some instances).

Thanks in advance

When you think about what a niche product that is, and the risk a retailer is taking stocking it, plus the giant R and D cost and inevitable limited run of the product I think it's reasonably priced.

I wouldn't buy them but that's because I don't need them!

Is it because the Greeks and Cypriots are in general, physically smaller than UK people?

This (quite dated) data would appear to indicate that less than 2% of UK men have a foot size < 6. Low demand I guess.

Not all climbers are men, though ...
