Hi,

I’m looking at some new half ropes mainly for sea cliff use in Pembroke with occasional use on North Wales multipitch.

I’m considering the DMM pitch 8.5mm, does anyone have any opinions on them? I’m tending towards this because of the higher % sheath and assuming it will be harder wearing on the rough rocks on the sea cliffs?

Would you go 50 or 60 metres?

Thanks in advance 😃

Possibly worth considering Edelrid Starling 8.2mm if you're looking for hard wearing sheath - Aramid. More expensive than other options I guess, but presumably should last longer...

Interesting rope - looks good. If I needed halves at the moment I'd be tempted by a pair of these (with the Protect Pro Dry treatment, at £2 per metre if you shop around).
