Hello all

Scarpa Furias really fit my feet well but I'd like a stiffer shoe can anyone recommend a similar shape  but stiffer shoe ?

Scarpa Boostic might be worth a trying (both fit me).

The Scarpa Chimera is similar in fit and is slightly stiffer.  It is lace up.  

Stiffer again but not that stiff is the Instinct VSR.

Both are great shoes.

I have tried the instinct and they seem to be a different fit

The Furia uses the FZ last which is the same as the Chimera. Hopefully they will feel the same but stiffer.

I find that the softer shoes, the more likely they feel good when you try them on.  They mould more easily around your foot.

Stiffer shoes take some breaking in.  If your feet don’t exactly fit the structure, they’ll feel different.  For instance I found the Instinct VS (stiffer rubber) less comfortable than the VSR (same last, softer rubber).

Basically, softer shoes and stiffer shoes can feel very different, even if they based on the same last.  I’m not sure if Instincts, Furias and Chimeras are based on the same last butt they feel similar to me.

The Furia Air is reputedly stiffer, the Chimera definitely is. The Instinct VSR and SR (slipper) are alternatives, but a different last.

You can look up the lasts used on shoe models on Scarpa’s website, might help set you in the right direction.
