Looking at new half ropes and considering whether I want 60m or 70m.

A bit of context: I live in Germany and do a fair bit of long alpine sport/trad and tend to link pitches together where possible to save time - this works fine on sport with a 70/80m rope but my halves are 50m from when I was UK based so can't do much with most pitches at 30m. It's also not ideal for longer abseils.

Looking at Mammut Twilight 7.5 so 38g/m meaning around 5.2kg for a set of 70's which is reasonably similar in weight to a single 80m plus tagline. Is there any particular reason I'm going to massively regret getting 70m over 60m? Practically speaking it's an 800g weight difference but allows the linking of 30/1/2m pitches with rope spare for belays.

Appreciate any direct experience with both setups!
