If you rip a bar tack on a daisy chain...

...how much damage is it likely to do to the fabric of the sling at the point where the stitching has ripped?

In a hypothetical situation, where you presumably have done something you shouldn't with the daisy.

Before you get 50 answers all from people who´ ve never ripped the stitching and never tested the daisy afterwards anyway why don´ t you ask one of the manufacturers?

If the manufacturer's reply is anything but a standard "if your equipment has been damaged or modified in any form you must discontinue use and dispose of it" i'll eat that daisy chain.

I don't know, but if I wanted to make an educated guess, I'd look at the sling webbing carefully around where the stitching has ripped and look for broken fibres. You should be able to tell the difference between broken sling material and broken stitching because they should be contrasting colours.
