Hi All

Doing a ski trip for charity in Norway next year and need to get some maps, sort of OS standard things. Had a quick look online but couldn't find much any advise would be welcome!

Cheers

In reply to rob1234: Try Stanfords or "The Map Shop" Upton on Severn.

This is useful for OS style paper maps... unfortunately the map pages are not available in English, but you should be able to figure it out.

There's a useful online resource here:

There are quite a few online resources for maps of Norway. The Norgeskart one that Andy linked to is one that allows you to zoom in to incredible detail. Also

In reply to rob1234: Hi Rob,
The Turkart maps are pretty similair to OS maps and have ski routes marked on them. Havent been skiing in Norway (yet) but have been walking there in the summer a few times. I found it cheaper to buy them over there than in the UK. If you are skiing from hut to hut the DNT website has maps you can use for planning a trip. The staffed huts all sell maps. One hut I stayed in actually sold a custom made map for the area around that hut, otherwise you would have needed three different maps. What area are you going to ? I may have the map you need.

NGU's online map resource http://geo.ngu.no/kart/arealisNGU/

The bog standard hiking maps are so readily available here you needn't worry, petrol stations, outdoor shops, DNT info centres, airports so they wont be a problem to get hold of once you're here.

The link above is great for pre-trip planning though

I can second that. The people there seem to know what they are talking about - they knew exactly what I wanted when I phoned them up to order some last year.

Another vote for The Map Shop - give them a ring, they know what they are on about.
