I have been using ME Fitzroy as a belay / cold weather jacket for a couple of years now. While I generally find it very good, I could use an inch or so longer sleeves. The body could also be a bit longer, especially in the back. I have briefly tried size XL in the shop, but it was not much better in this respect while being way to baggy in the body.

How does RAB Generator Alpine compare in size?

In reply to Zgemba:
I had exactly the same problem with the ME Fitzroy. Size XL is way too roomy in the body and the sleeves on the Large size are at least a couple of centimetres too short. Body length,as you say, was not great either.

The Generator Alpine (Large) is a much better fit - longer arms and a longer body. An almost perfect fit for me. I think the specs were very similar, when I was looking.

In reply to Zgemba: I'm 6' 2", 40" chest, 36" arms (neck to cuff over shoulder) and Rab Alpine Generator in large is a perfect fit for me. HTH

Excellent. Thank you very much.
Looks like I just need to find a buyer for my Fitzroy.
