I know Millet is a pain in the arse to get in the UK. I got my Millet B3s from Adventurepeaks in ambleside. I have also contacted them to see if they can get them on order as they have the matching jacket.

In reply to Milesy:
or the soft shell trousers you already have and some much cheaper water proofs?

These can take a bit of a beating for the money, but they don't have crampon patches or gaiters.

I'm personally hoping to get away with much lighter water proofs myself that will spend most the time in the bag rather than on.
OP Milesy 03 Jan 2013
already got waterproofs. want something in a nice colour for selfish reasons but something good for everything and less layers to wear.
OP Milesy 03 Jan 2013
Plus I have some money to buy myself something nice lol

In reply to Milesy:
do you not think that walking in comfortably wearing the same clothes you'll climb in including water proofs is a bit optimistic? If it was me I think even with the vents open on the upper part of my leg I'll typically end up very sweaty before I start climbing (either that or I'd have to basically unzip my entire legs), and of course getting sweaty only leads to one thing on the next belay.
OP Milesy 03 Jan 2013
As long as I can vent them in the walk in I will be fine as I always get baltic legs while climbing as well as belays.

In reply to Milesy:

Both look cool.

Personally I would be buying some corks for my crampons just in case lol.

Looking forwards to seeing you all bright on the hill mate

good luck with whatever you choose.

never cramponed trousers yet touch wood

I went for these in the end. They jave just arrived.

They have full length side zipz and a high waist, comfortable braces and a good fit and length.

Only thing is with them just being a shell they of course have no comfort inside them so was thinking what might be best to layer with them.

Do I wear them over my soft shells or should I wear some decent thermals instead? Or both?
