I’m looking to purchase a new 2 man tent or large 1 man, mostly for Campsites, and the occasional wild camp trip. Ideally pitches outer first with minimal faff. I currently have a zephyros 1 and I am just looking for some more space and possibly something freestanding. Any recommendations? Tempted by the Helm 2

In typical UKC style, I'll suggest something slightly different.

I have a Vango Mirage Pro 300 that's a couple of years old and has never been pitched.  I'd be looking for £120.  If you're interested I'll take it out of the bag tomorrow and check there's no damage along the fold lines.  If you're not then that's fine.

The Helm looks like a good choice and from a quick Google it looks like it can be had for £200 or less. 

I bought the Terra Nova Pioneer 2 last year which looks like the slightly higher specced cousin to the Helm. Solid tent, outer pitch first or outer and inner together. A squeeze for 2 but do-able, great for 1 plus kit. 

MSR elixir 2 - some good prices at Elite Mountain Supplies. 2.1 - 2.6kg though...
