In reply to UKC Gear: I own a pair of Petzl Lynx and they rock! It was an interesting review. My own experience with them is that with the dual points at -20'C was almost impossible to place in pure ice. Worked great though on a easy alpine route. I had the mono-point extended fully(most of the season) and it worked awesome in almost all conditions for waterfall ice/mixed. The only drawback was the placement of the leash...I have twice knocked it open but only on easy stuff. Otherwise these crampons are the best!!!
