The Petzl Meteor III is listed as being rated for climbing, cylcing and white water so does that mean it's ok for skiing too?

Apparently used for ski touring. I wouldn't use it piste/offpiste skiing, my ears would freeze.

Cool, thanks.

I know it sounds cliche, but I'm asking for a friend (I don't ski myself so wouldn't be able to assess it's suitability). She posted on Facebook that she was after borrowing a helmet for a ski holiday and, knowing she's going for a CWA qual and cycles to work I suggested this helmet as one to consider buying for all three.

We cant offer na answer other than that its not rated for it, so officially no.

In a ski helmet i would want something that has ear protection and more protection at the back of the helmet.

Saying this i have a meteor and its a great climbing helmet, i have also used it for a bit of paddling and i would use it on a bike.

Ski helmets can be cheap from aldi/tk maxi/ sport pursuit so why not get 2 helmets, an elios and a ski helmet if price is an issue. Would be about the same as a meteor.
