Looking for a good camping tarp to use with walking poles. To sleep 1/2 people. Any recommendations appreciated

I've used a tarp by these buys before... http://www.ddhammocks.com/products/all_tarps , it was lighter and more expensive than a cheap blue one from Halfords. I've slept under it a few times, only once in torrential rain and it seemed fine.

Only have experience of the Tab Siltarp 2, and it's light, well-made and keeps the rain off. Much better after I added shock cord loops to the webbing loops to take in any overnight sag.

I've used one from MEC in Canada for years, often with ski poles (see some of the pics in https://www.ukclimbing.com/gear/review.php?id=8458 ) but also with my bike as the support ( https://www.ukclimbing.com/gear/review.php?id=9004 ). It's great and wasn't very expensive, but if you don't have a friend in North America who can forward it to you, Alpkit is the most obvious bet in the UK. Otherwise these folk seem well regarded: http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/tarps-and-bivy-bags.html
