All,

Has anyone else discovered that citric acid may weaken the plastic from which "light my fire" manufacture their "Sporks". My wife uses hers to eat oranges on a regular basis, and this appears to have weakened the prongs of the fork. Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope.
Can't see how, may just be from regular use?

Not all plastics are resistant to citric acid (including nylon) seems plausible to me.

Maybe, if you leave it stuck in over night.

Also maybe if you eat oranges regularly with it and don't wash it up straight away!

Carefully.

Perhaps a more important question is why would you eat an orange with a spork

Fruit salad?

I have one spork and won't be getting any more, way too flimsy for what they cost.

Gets an "A" for fruit juice though
