Excellent. Used to buy loads of tents there, only stopped as they don't stock the particular ones I buy any more.

Bought boots and clothing there too, good advice and proper personal service.

Would certainly recommend the Exeter branch. They give good advice and are a friendly bunch.

Would recommend both the Taunton and Bristol shops. Frequented both in my run up to Kilimanjaro, Germany and Austrian trips this year. Spent an eye-watering amount of money in both as they were always super friendly, helpful and never tried to oversell.

When they didn't stock the boots I wanted to try, they searched for local competitors that might stock them just to ensure I got exactly what I wanted, instead of trying to sell me a particular boot they had in. Can't beat that dedication to the customer's needs over bottom line.

The Bristol shop were very helpful when I bought a new tent earlier this year. Ordered it in, rearranged their shop floor so that I could try the inner for size (which is an issue when you're 6'4") and were generally as pleasant and helpful as you could wish.

Based on my experience I've no hesitation in recommending them.

Excellent stores, excellent staff. Great personal service. I send all my D of E students to them and they supported my son's trip to Himalayas.
