I don't know if this is the correct forum for this, but I also don't know where else it would fit into.
Are any other University climbing/mountaineering clubs having either their club or personal emails spammed with very long (VERY long-dozens of thousands of words long) emails 'asking' members to complain, via forwarding letters, about climbing gear standards (specifically relating to BD's carab design)? They seem to be from a guy with a screw loose and a rather large chip on his shoulder...

You’re not alone. Our (non uni) club got one.

it was up there with some of the Covid rants.

We get these every so often as well.

No it's to basically anybody he can lay his hands on. I'm not in a club and I've seen it. And it's not really spam, he's trying to make a point but just has severe verbal diarrhea. 

I have had it both in the capacity of BMC tech committee and the Oread Committee. Frankly the guy is a tool.
