Hi. Are these likely to be busy these next few days? Tues - Thursday?

Looking to get away but want peace! Not sure what to expect midweek.

Wouldn't have thought so. It was busy up north last week with Easter but its quieter now. The obvious exceptions are the Hutchy hut, Corrour, Ryvoan and maybe Ruigh Aiteachain.

Have you been to Faindouran? It's nice and unlikely to be busy.

I can see why Faindouran would be quiet! Too far to walk to for the time I have.

Any thoughts on the new bothy or Geldershiel?

I've not been but it's maybe not on lots of people's radar yet to could be a good call.

It's not peak DofE season up here yet.

DofE are not normally allowed to use bothies for overnight accommodation as the can't guarantee space and there are safeguarding issues.

Very much allowed to camp next to them though!

For a while, DofE were rejecting routes that involved camping near a bothy but they seem to have given up on that.
